Changes

finished on my Dinning room table.
So After getting settled in the basement, my boyfriend's Children decided to move out, leaving us with two empty bedrooms!!! So of course i moved my studio upstairs to the front bedroom. To be honest I hated the basement. Our junk wasn't very organized which would distract me from wanting to create and make me think about how to solve that issue. Then there was the not being able to hear anyone knocking at the door, the lack of cell phone reception and having to climb the steps to the kitchen. Needless to say i wasn't going into the basement very often. I happened to finish a few things while i was down there though.
I made a table runner for myself as my first official quilting project on my Bernina 350. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I also messed around and made placemats for my Grandmom.

Made Grandmom some placemats!
So like I said, I had the opportunity to move the studio upstairs.... And so i did. The first day the kids were out, i cleaned up the junk they left behind and threw it into the new "guest" room. Moved the dresser into my bedroom (first time in 3-4 years to actually have a dresser in the room, too bad it's full of my boyfriend's clothes haha)
The mess the kids left me. i threw it all in bags and tossed it into the guest room.
then cleaned the space up! And brought what i could upstairs.

Jim of Course Is enjoying the new space. He loves sitting at the window watching squirrels, birds and cars go by. ahh to live the life of a cat.
And i'm currently working on my first quilt! I'm going to call it "Cat time in the Garden"
I think i may border it with a Gray but i'll piece what i have and decide from then on.
And now that i'm comfortable in my studio i hope to be posting more on what i actually make!

Oh WAIT! Before you go! i did make something in the new studio! I belong to a CSA (What is known as a "City Shared Agriculture" i pay into a share at a farm) and needed bags to pick my produce in. So with the help of Sew Mama Sew , I made these awesome produce bags!! They're awesome and i couldn't be happier. I enjoy making them and using them to pick up the different produce i get.

love my veggie prints... see, i hoarded my fabric for a reason... ;)
